Lauren Hinton is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln pursuing degrees in History and Communication Studies. Her end goal after graduation is to attend law school or graduate school to eventually work with non-profits. 

 

Her first theater experience was in Kindergarten when she played the notable role of “Cornstalk” in her class Farm Show. She rekindled her love of theater at age 10 performing in 'Once on this Island' as Ti Moune. From then on, she stayed heavily involved in theatre. Her top three favorite characters she has played are Miss Andrews in 'Mary Poppins', Clairee in 'Steel Magnolias', and Pinocchio in 'Shrek the Musical'. Lauren has been singing since she was 9 and dancing since she was 10.

 

Not only does Lauren spend her time on stage, she also volunteers for YAAL (Youth Actors Academy of Lincoln) as a choreographer and vocal coach as well as a high school speech coach. In her spare time, Lauren loves embroidery, taking walks around parks, going to hammock, watching sunsets, playing board and card games, and of course spending time with those I love the most.
